We have been running in-depth blockchain developer courses since 2015 and students love them, especially the exchanges with the mentors and other students. Our team strongly believes that making quality education available for a diverse range of individuals will strengthen the Hyperledger community with the inclusion of people from different cultural and professional backgrounds.
We also want to involve the rest of the community by creating an avenue to give back. Our goal is to offer free training, mentoring, and access to certification in Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth development for up to 500 students in 2019.
Up to 500 participants will take the B9lab Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth developer course for free, 50% seats sponsored by our partners, and the other 50% matched by B9lab. The selection of participants is done through an online test.
All selected participants will have access to our course materials, instructors, and a range of other services provided by our Official Partners.
Participants with a grade of over 80% in their final project will receive a B9lab certification.
In Phase 1 (the Selection Process), the participants of the Hyperledger Blockstars Programme will be selected through an online test. The top ranked individuals from the test results will be offered a chance to participate. Upto 500 participants selected through this process will take the Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth developer course for free.
In Phase 2 (the Developer Course), the selected developers will be sponsored by B9lab and the Official Partners to participate in the Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth developer course for free, and have access to mentoring and code review by the B9lab tutors.
The course will last six weeks and be conducted entirely online, so those selected can participate from anywhere in the world. Progress at your own pace - time demands should be about 12 hours per week of studying/coding.
In Phase 3 (the Final Project), participants will have four weeks to submit a final project that is built on Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth.
In Phase 4 (the Official Certificate), participants’ final projects will be evaluated and graded by the B9lab team. Participants may receive a certificate 4 weeks after submissions if they score well enough to demonstrate professional competence in Hyperledger Fabric or Hyperledger Sawtooth. Certificates will be stored on the Ethereum mainnet and protected by private keys.
